Classic New Zealand Lineup Series - Raglan

Raglan and Whangamata are two of New Zealand’s most iconic surf breaks, the elusive Mangawhai Heads is one of New Zealand’s best on it’s day. As with the West Coast series the images are a collaboration of digital and film from the last two decades of studying the breaks. The bending of the swell as it is slowed by the contours sea floor is a real feature and reasons the main Raglan and Whangamata images have been used as such. The images in the sub-panels are again chosen to give a sense of place, but also to hint and/or graphically show human interaction with the environment.
